Everyone knows about the chilika lake because it is the queen of natural scenery and it is called as swiss -lake in the continent. In India chilika is the biggest inland lake and the heart of coastal odisha. Chilika is a brackish water lagoon spread over ganjam, puri, khurda district of odisha and flow into the Bay of Bengal. Chilika lake is spread over 1,100 sq.km.
In winter season many migratory birds come to these places and it is the home of aquatic fauna. The migratory birds came from another place to chilika for their winter sojourn in the water. The colorful birds make the beautiful sound and try to find the space for their new homes. Sunrise and Sunset is the most memorable beauty in the chilika lake.
Boating and fishing facility is available in the chilika lake. Thousand's of fisherman survive their livelihood through fishing.
