Dola purnima or Holi is the main festival of odisha. Dola purnima starts from the tenth day of the bright fortnight of the month of march(Falguna). That's way holi is called as 'Fagu Dashami'.
On this day our Lord Jagannath is worshipped on Dolabedi by wearing the new pure silk to all three deity. In this festival spring summer is welcomed with lots of fun and hapiness.
In this day the villagers take the Lord Krishna on the viman for procession with the drummers, pipers and the kirtana mandalis. The procession will held in front of every household and they offer the prasad .
People throw fagu to each other with lots of fun. In this festival the members of milkman make the festival too gorgeous by doing cultural programmes.
