Dhabaleswar Temple of Odisha

Dhabaleswar Temple is dedicated to lord Shiva. The temple is situated in the cuttack city and the place is full of evergreen forest .From cuttack it will take 37 kilometers and from bhubaneswar it will take 55 kilometer. Dhabaleswar temple is located on the bank of river mahanadi. From 11th century the temple is made of big rocks and you feel too much peace .

           On this temple the devotees come from several corner to worship lord shiva. The main function on this temple is Mahashivratri, Badaosha, and so many function held in odisha. On mahashivratri the people worship to lord shiva come from the before day , and the temple is decorated with beautiful lights and so many earthen lamps which gives the temple so graceful. On Badaosha you can see the ladies wear the beautiful cotton white sari or silk saree with purity and pray to lord shiva by making the delicious sweets like "Ghaintha" or "Modak". On the month of kartik the panchuka held at that time the ladies draw the various jhoti or chita on the morning. Panchuka puja also held and several devotees leave on the temple for five days.
          To reach the temple you have to go with the hanging bridge, but previous people go to temple through boat.The place is too beauty you can visit the temple in any weekend.
