Theses thread sets are known as weft and warp crossed with each other. It prevalent in India even before the time stone sculpture came into existence, so these crafts are very old in India. Many types of goods are created by the skilled craftsmen by shaping a piece of wood with very simple tool. Mainly Gujarat, Jammu & Kashmir, Karnataka, Kerala and Uttar Pradesh are very much popular for their unique form of woodwork. These wood crafts are also exported to furan countries. Many products like Axes, toys, utensils, decorative pieces, jewellery and many more designer household goods like lamp shades, candle stands, vermillion boxes, jewellery boxes, bangle holders etc are manufactured by Indian handicraft weavers, are very much appreciated in all over the world. These wood handicrafts are commonly used in almost every Indian house, so most of the Indian people like these products very much.
