Panchuka is celebrated for last five days of kartik month in odisha and people abstain from all types of non vegeterian foods during this period. Panchuka starts from 2nd november to 6th november. On this month the women's take the bath in the early morning and wear new traditional silk sarees and put the rangoli in front of Tulsi tree.
The women's offer the puja to tusi tree and to Lord Jagannath for this five days. On that time mostly people decorate their villages and celebrate the panchuka festival in temples or nearest kartik temple.
