Manabasha Gurubar Jhoti pride of Odisha.

As per odia calendar all we know Goddess laxmi is worshiped on the month of "Margasira". It is a great festivals of odisha. When the day starts every women starts cleaning the house with cow dung paste or red soil, as it believed that Goddess Laxmi never visit the house if the house is full of dirty and untidy. Later women's made beautiful alpana or "Chita" in front of house and in every corner. This Festival beauty is mostly seen in village of odisha. 



To welcome Goddess laxmi from the front gate to the puja room Goddess Laxmi Foot and lotus flower was art in alpana called "Jhoti".Some fresh harvested paddy also put in a bamboo canes on the puja room. Her favorite flower is Lotus.In every house you can see the lotus with Maa Laxmi feet which looks like some white flowers are decorated. On this special day every women loves to wear handloom cotton sarees with white and red color border and read the "Laxmi Purana" book with full devotions.Several Sweets dishes was prepared and served to Goddess laxmi. In odisha, it is beleived that "Maa Laxmi" is the hindu Goddess of wealth and prosperity.

Chhath Puja

.Chhath Puja is an North Indian Festival, which traditionally celebrated by the women of Bihar. This puja is offered to Lord sun for well wishes and health. On this special day women's wear the traditional silk saree and offers prayer to the sun god on evening.

On evening women's leave their fast and sung the devotional song with great devotion. It  is a great festival in India. Every women looks gorgeous in this Chhath Puja.

Basant Panchami Celebration (Saraswati Puja)

In hindu religion saraswati puja is celebrated all over india.Saraswati is the goddess of Education, Crafts and Arts. Saraswati puja is always fall in the month of magh(january - february).Students celebrate saraswati puja with a great way in college ,school,and in private tuition.Students worship to goddess saraswati for the success of learning,arts and crafts. 

She is the mother of the Vedas. She always dressed in white saree which symbolizes the purity and she rides on a white swan which symbolizes the purity and discrimination.



In west bengal saraswati puja celebrated in every house. Saraswati puja is a part of social celebrations.In school ,college the ladies teacher and the young girls try to wear the beautiful yellow traditional silk saree or plain Saree. Pushpanjali are offered to maa saraswati.Young people enjoy the day with their friends and family.Cultural programmes held in night with great devotion.
