Every year Basant Panchami is treated as Saraswati Puja in several states in India. In this day students are enjoying no study day. Because, Saraswati Mata keep their books beside her. Boys are girls celebrating this day with new dress and a special meal from their school. In West Bengal this day also called as Bengali Valentines Day. Because, this is the day when boys and girls meet freely anywhere and they try to find their love one. Bengali girls dressed up with cotton sarees specially yellow colour. Maximum bengali girls wear a saree for the first time on this puja in their lifetime. So, you can say this is also an event where a girl become a women in look.
