The Suna Besa or Raja Bhesa happens the day after the returns from Gundicha temple. The suna besa falls on the 11th day of the bright fortnight in ashada month(July).
On this day the chariots decorate with golden attire called suna besa. Lord jagannath wears the golden crown, golden arms and golden feets on the suna besa day. Lord Jagannath holds a gold chakra in his right hand and silver sankha in the left hand, Lord Balabhadra holds a golden plough in his left hand and golden gada in his right hand. They dress properly with golden and traditional silk saree called khandua pata.
The sevaiyts wear the pure silk and offered sweets, drinks on huge cylindrical earthen pots reaching up to their lips. On this day the women's wear the new cotton sarees and silk sarees to visit the suna bhesa of Lord Jagannath, Shubhadra and Balabhadra. Visit odisha and see the suna bhesa of Lord Jagannath.
