Indian cloths and weaving techniques

We are going to discus about Indian cloths and it’s weaving techniques. In India clothing style and cloths varies from region to region depending on the ethnicity of that place, geographical location, climate of that place, culture and traditions of the people of that area. Generally clothing’s of men and women are a little bit of different. These cloths have evolved from simple Langat, and loincloths to cover the body to elaborate costumes not only used in daily wear but also on festivals and special occasions as well as rituals and dance performances. In urban areas of India, mainly western clothing is common and uniformly worn by people of all strata. India also has a great diversity in terms of weaves, fibers, colors and material of clothing. There are many varieties of Color codes are followed in clothing based on the religion and ritual point of view. We can take an example that in India there are many Hindu families present while the Hindu ladies wear white clothes to indicate mourning, at that time Parses and Christians wear white cloths during weddings. This is an example of diversity of Indian cloths.

These are many variety of weaving techniques were employed in India since ancient days; many of those weaving techniques still survive to the present day. Generally Silk and cotton were woven into various designs and motifs, each region developing its own distinct style and technique of weaving. Some Famous weaving styles among these weaving techniques were the Jamdani, Kasika vastra of Varanasi, butidar and the Ilkal saree, Brocades of silk were woven with gold and silver threads and were deeply influenced by Persian designs. The Dyeing of clothes in ancient India was practiced as an art form.      
                 

So these are some famous weaving techniques of India.  Still now days these are many good skillful artists are present who creating very good and attractive products, which are exported to many different frozen countries. These arts are our proud. Now days due to online shopping technique the demand of these art increasing day by day. Many frozen people like these products and using these.
